In 2002, Kern County began recognizing outstanding international women for their significant contributions in the areas of Education, Art/Entertainment, Science, Health Care, Business/Finance, and Law/Government. Since 2002, approximately 40 outstanding international women have been awarded with International Women's Day Awards at Annual Award Dinner events on March 8th each year.
The International Women's Day Award Committee is asking your support for fund raising efforts in order to sponsor the IWD Award event and scholarships for international students at Bakersfield College and California State University, Bakersfield.
